Report: Seedy Sunday 26/2/2017
Date posted: Wednesday 1st March 2017
It didn’t rain! Despite overcast skies and a cool breeze there was a steady stream of browsers and buyers for a variety of donated seeds and for the bundles of hazel poles and peasticks, cut by Andrew Saunders from the hazel coppice on plot 17 – they proved a popular buy.
The café volunteers provided the usual delicious cakes and hot drinks, very much appreciated.
It was an enjoyable and sociable morning with net sales takings of £79.76. Many thanks to our team of sellers, David Lainchbury, Ruth, Janet and Gill for all their help with setting up and on sales, and to Carol, who registered a record number of children for the Autumn Social Sunflower competition!
