Name this Corner for the Centenary
Date posted: Wednesday 27th January 2021

We planted a Crab Apple tree on the corner facing the entrance last year after we lost the old ornamental apple tree; for the RPA Centenary this year we plan to make the small communal space around it welcoming to all – tenants, birds, bees, butterflies etc. We propose a community bench for plotholders, a bird bath for the birds and planting of pollinator friendly plants.
As a working title we refer to this space as ‘Centenary Corner’ or ‘Centenary Green’ but we would like naming suggestions which improve on these and which reflect a friendly community space and attractive entrance area – ideas from all tenants, young and not so young!
Be creative, send us your names – even Boaty McBoatface fun ones! The Committee reserves the right to select the best. There might be a prize so don’t forget to include your name and plot number! We may even hold a design competition for the sign later in the year.
Post your suggestions by 28th February 2021 on our forum or send an email to chair@paddocks-allotments.org.uk or put a note in an envelope, addressed to Jenny Bourne, in the letterbox in the shed by the entrance, giving your name and plot number.
